They may not have a good, crisp folk-punk .. ?? Then you need not continue reading, because just as I would the new output of Canadians (non-Scots or Irish ... no, Canadians .. !!) denote ... Good, crisp folk-punk .. !! The Real McKenzies, made since 1992, and they were based in British Columbia / Canada. The Real McKenzies include with Shane MacGowan and the Flogging Molly, several times by the US and also toured Europe. This they achieved a huge popularity that lasts continuously. They make their ancestors proud. Live, they wear kilts, among other things, knee socks and the obligatory, famous fur bags of "Highlander" of that time. A very likeable, play strong tape. For album. "Rats In The Burlap", consists of 14 songs which are unfortunately spread to only meager 36:22 minutes ("West Winds" and "Clash of the Tartans" eg were there but a bit longer). Nevertheless, the overall impression is good to very good and confirmed that The Real McKenzies are one of the leading bands of the folk-punk. The playful good level of the excellent "Westwinds album" is held, and also my favorite album of the Canadians "Off The Leash", must now share my all-time fav place with "Rats In The Burlap". The album works as a unified whole, so it would be nonsense individual songs highlight. So ... get out vice hung with striped knee socks, an old leather bag and dancing to "Rats In The Burlap" and forget everyday worries. 5 stars (Genre relation) are earned.
Here are some other good folk punk bands: Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Porters, The Men They Couldn.t slope, Shane MacGowan and the Popes
