If I Should Fall from Grace with God (Audio CD)

Customer Review

This is the third and most successful album of Pogues, the Irish-English band from London, the dusted the Folk and revolutionized. Just looking suddenly faster, louder and played harder, and even folk classics seem new. Which just so much MacGowan Singer also wrote himself.
His Fairytale of New York (also included) may be the best selling piece of Pogues and Christmas down and raufgespielt. But my favorite on the disc is again written by someone else: "Thousands are Sailing" is musically very strong and discussed at that time and today's poverty and emigration.

On "If I Should Fall From Grace of God" in this edition not only the 13 original pieces on it, but also six bonus tracks. Heißa as the Dubliners are indeed once overheard this. - Four and a half to five stars.
