guitar, drums, two voices: minimalist, but oh so effective! I must say that the guitar / voice LOEUVRE the monstrous Ian McKaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi and more) and it feels great in the compositions of this album for who knows the previous work of Mr. and even the Evens. The mixture of male and female voice works perfectly, the dialogue guitar / drums as well. For me much better than rock fashion genre duos at the Black Keys and another White Stripes. It is more in the true and raw with the Evens, and that's why we stay close to the punk, with a folk spirit palpable (even if all titles are electrified). a very solid album and the best of the 3 small beads that we owe to the Evens since 2005. Probably my top album of 2012, it rotates regularly loop on the stage and I do not get enough. Also note that the Evens is published by Dischord and it gives more reason to give this album (for those who choose the vinyl version, the album comes with a mp3 download code very good).
