This is a good thriller, it must be admitted; all the elements necessary for it are present: characters - not stereotypes - thorough and engaging, plot well put together, and, above all, an original subject. Can land be artificially induced tremors? From the outset, the FBI agents do not take seriously the threat of an earthquake claimed by the mysterious "Soldiers of Heaven". Priest, a major protagonist of the novel, is trying to save his "village" in a secluded place, where the air is pure and envied them. Meanwhile, the history of the agent in charge of the investigation, named Judy. A priori, it is being loaded upset him this affair but, having familiarized with it and trained seismologist, Judy finds despite herself that the threats are real and achievable .... Especially since the first earthquake occurred in the exact place announced by the Soldiers of Heaven and, even worse, at the exact time ... As always, the writing of this novel is fluid, hangs history, the investigation deepens our knowledge about many topics, among them the FBI and seismology. If you are looking for a masterpiece, I would recommend the Pillars of the Earth, by the same author, but this book is still an excellent thriller, more than interesting.
