I, too, could have long the "old" version of Catch A Fire call my own before I came across the "Deluxe Edition". This album is, with the Wailers in 1973 to conquer outside of Jamaica and the Caribbean began. The album is undoubtedly the most beautiful and the best that has ever been recorded and has once again all that, for the stand the Wailers: denunciation of political and social ills ("Concrete Jungle", "Slave Driver," "400 Years"), standing up for their own (religious) beliefs "Stop That Train", "No More Trouble") and (of course!) love ("Stir It Up", "All Day All Night", "Midnight Ravers"). Short an extremely strong, yet tender and very loving album that will not get bored and leave you wanting more. The self-arranged by Marley original tapes are a fulminales "unvarnished" and "natural state" counterpart to publish later version of the album, with whom I am personally also a second time easily caught fire. - Simon Füchtenschnieder in October 2002
