I am with your camcorder to the price actually fully satisfied!
Positive:
------------
The optical zoom is really a highlight on this device, and thanks to the optical image stabilizer-you can also use it quite well, with tripod to really nice shots of details are as far away possible.
The T50 offers a wide range of manual settings, to learn just one has been around from the beginning the possibility basics of film and developing. In addition to the "Yes", the Intelligent Auto, which works quite well with their preferences actually does all the work, you can manually tease out one or another motive much more.
The sound is of course not the quality of an external microphone comparable, but totally ok for the price and just for an entry-level model.
Neutral:
---------
The rocker switch for zooming is something "kibbelig". Slow and steady Zoom in / Zoom out takes some practice and a lot of feeling. Also, the zoom power by a factor of about 20 around a "jump", ie below 20 to 1, the zoom is faster while maintaining the same switch. That's a bit annoying when you really want to zoom from 67x to 1x down or vice versa evenly.
The storage solution with 4 GB Flash and SD card is ok. Much filmmakers but should consider to put a few bucks on it and zuzulegen the T85 with the built-in hard disk if necessary, but.
The included software CamSuite is easy to use. With it, data can be acquired to the computer, looked at, are possibly cut and burned. But nothing more, but no one calls also normally of a software supplied for free.
Of course you have to compromise on a 1Chip system; the color depth is just not so, as with a 3-chip model, or even HD. But again: for the 08-15 filmmakers certainly perfectly adequate!
Negatives:
-----------
A clear negative point is certainly the battery. The supplied battery pack is sufficient for normal operation of my relationship (pans, zooms, ect & For.) For about 60-70 minutes, then it's over. The more powerful batteries for your camcorder do not cost little ...
Overall conclusion:
-------------
For a holiday and celebrate filmmakers who may not yet or do not want to put a lot of money in HD technology, the SDR-T50 in my opinion, is quite sufficient. To those who want to work with something and know-how turn more challenging films, it is a good entry into the hobby. Buy recommendation!
Who wants directly hochwerige technique for movies in full color, super sound and high-end sharpness, maybe you should take up another device.
