For beginners perfectly okay!

Because of the good reviews, the reasonable price and a good impression after the sample gripping in local MM, I put myself on the Mad Catz V1 joystick. Under Win 7 there were no problems with the software. The first impression was good. With increasing service life, the little problems came to light. In the end I had the joystick return because of a defect within the warranty period.

Short and sweet:

- Blue LED "in the head", which is reflected in the monitor.
- Too easy. One hand has to hold the foot, otherwise tilts the joystick while controlling.
- Too imprecise. Helicopter landings are in simulations to gamble.

- Reliability. Failure of various buttons after about six months.

Was used the joystick with FSX, Arma III, IL2, Digital Combat Simulator DCS and A10.

For arcade-heavy games the Mad Catz V1 is a cheaper and perfectly adequate joystick. Who did not expect much for the price, will not be disappointed. Otherwise, there are alternatives that cost online sometimes only about 10 more (Thrustmaster T.16000M, T.Flight Hotas Stick X).
