A slow, worn bagpipe intro, slightly melancholic, dreamy ... and then, after 21 seconds: the full Irish folk / hardcore broadside! So begins The Warrior's Code. They have become more cheerful and punky, the boys from Boston. Stylistically, they move again towards Sing loud, sing proud, with a strong summer flair. Quasi a summer top for cozy evening with friends at the lake. This is evidenced by the feel-good song "Sunshine Highway" the more similarity with surfer-punk than hardcore / Folk hybrids of the septet. But exceptions prove the rule known. With "The Green Fields of France" and "This Auld Triangle" two covers have again lost on the plate. Especially the former, a ballad about the victims of the First World War is just beautiful. An own creations "Wicked Sensitive Crew" and "Captain Kelly's Kitchen" are an outstanding success and the half minute just "Citizen CIA" a true Hardcore breaker was even pressed on the disc. In short: a great album that it would be best to enjoy a cool pint or a good whiskey. Cheers!
