I've been using the device, as I said, every day for a year, even outdoors (including navigation while hiking and cycling), and never had any problems or difficulties. I listen to music (MP3, Radio), browse the Internet, take pictures and videos, use Email, SMS, Facebook, Skype, Lync, use the device as a FB for TV / receiver / player, etc., and in addition to the use as an address book organizer, calendar, translator, etc., etc.. I telephone of course. Everything went fine and I would buy the S3 immediately.
News and officially obtained by Samsung Android 4.1.2 for the S3 - 4.2 it is expected to be no more and instead is then available from December / January to all appearances the version 4.3 available. This means that the Samsung S3 not neglected as before.
As a memory extension, I use a 32 GB SanDisk Ultra micro SD Card (net 29.71 GB) - funkioniert properly, absolute compatibility.
Oh yes, the device used in my car (VW Passat) via Bluetooth connected to the VW RNS315 - also works great; among other things, can read my contacts on RNS315 and play my MP3s on the SD card in the S3 via the car audio system - full compatibility here. Also navigation by Navigon app is going very well.
Update November 12, 2013:
=========================
Today I received the software update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The installation has worked flawlessly. Many things (for example, settings and menus) now look different and clearer and much has improved at first glance (eg the e-mail client). The most important thing: Everything (incl. My apps) will continue to function. The specific changes I must, however, look more closely to me.
Update November 15, 2013:
=========================
Unfortunately, the battery life after updating to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has fallen markedly.
Otherwise, no problems with me and a lot of small improvements.
Update 09 December 2013:
=========================
So, today I received a new firmware update via OTA morning, quasi the awaited bugfix for the last update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The build number is now: XXUGMK6 (Stand: November 28, 2013).
So my problem is resolved with the low battery power. Thus, everything is fine again.
