It takes a while before it has penetrated the game mechanics of "Gardens", especially if you do not, like other reviewers, has played previously before Carcassonne. I personally like the game quite well, the game round (of four people) was also happy with the game experience. The only complaint from me (and is highly subjective): I prefer games where more tactics than luck is needed to win. While in "Gardens" tactical considerations are needed, without the right bit of luck you will however still not exaggerate its Flower type to full bloom.
From me, there are four stars. If you like playing games in which luck accounts for a large share of the gameplay, can boldly access in "Gardens". Tactician as I will certainly in the long term prefer other games.
Overall, however Gardens is for "forest and meadow player", that is for people who like to play per se genre and gameplay-independent, highly recommended. The game has been produced wertig, failed the design appealing.
