The guarantee of an undergraduate quality. The woman has a bell-clear soprano and intoned clean, but still with a lot of (attached) emotionality. The instrumentation is professionally and quality. Everything is very good craftsmanship, but it is more than that. The songs are in a certain way (just the typical Joan Baez-style) played down the yet has a certain monotony. The arrangements are conventional and miss originality and Indvidualität.
The supposedly special tonal quality of the live recording I can not confirm. Just listen in to the comparison example, the live recording of Sara K. and Chris Jones. The (!) Is a sonic revelation.
All in all, "Joan Baez as usual". Do you know one, you know all. That's always nice, but he who does something special awaits, will be disappointed.
