The seat can be connected to the Isofix connectors firmly with the car, but also be used without Isofix. The impact shield is secured with the 3-point belt of the car in front of the abdomen of the child.

From 18kg the child must be secured with the 3-point belt of the car, but the seat has to be removed from the base first, this is described in the instructions quite well. Since my daughter is still very far away from the weight limit, I can inform this process, no experience. It looks to instructions but from not really difficult.

Personally, I find the fact a shame that you, before you can change the weight class, has to make a conversion. I thought, I can make this seat also simply as a spare seat for older children take (school friends of my son for example), but by the necessary reconstruction this possibility is not given or connected with too much effort.

The installation of the seat in the car is very easy. It works the Isofix connectors from the seat, adjusts the seat with the car connecting the connectors with the Isofixhaken the car. For Grandma and Grandpa, we now wanted to gradually have an alternative that install quickly and should be handled also for "older half", therefore we chose this seat. In my eyes, my daughter fits exactly in this seat and should be much smaller it really is not, so you should take this seat in my opinion, any possibility for the infant carrier but only if the child is at least 2.5 years old.

Conclusion: I am very satisfied with the purchase and would buy the seat in our situation again.
