I am Hands Up and House DJ, ergo bass heavy music. It is quite complicated.
The headset is connected directly to the mixer. This means that the headphones the sound must play pure and to certain settings just can not even make.
The ups and especially the centers are too loud. I have tested different sound cards and no I could say that I (make no equalizer settings), am satisfied with the sound created from the headphones. I am well aware that the headset only costs 50, but even then should be tuned differently, at least for this music.
You can just hear the bad out kicks, which probably comes also by the poor shielding.
I have let myself be blinded by the really almost exaggerated many positive reviews. What I've heard that it could possibly be that Sony has incorporated the same headset model to save costs, poorer sound drivers, but these are just guesses. With an original price of nearly 100 that nevertheless gives sense to me.
It may be that my model just somehow defective or otherwise what, I do not think, because bass is present to some extent and also sounds good, but much quieter than the highs and mids.
From creaking apart the headset is relatively robust. I'm already often times stuck to the cable. Still works without problems. There is also no noise when skin on the cable or over clips. The shielding at least succeeded by cable, where I again do not understand why you do that a DJ headphone cable as short.
The comfort is 1h pain free, everything after that looks bad.
All in all looks the headphones from optically good, has a sound of, say, with right equalizer settings probably is also quite reasonable, but is not really suitable for home use because of comfort even to be desired. It is robust, at least yet, but creaks pretty loud.
I'm not bad persuasion here to the headphone jack, but above all to make in noisy environments the poor shielding in combination with the low bass frequencies noticeable, so I can not recommend him.
The AKG K518 LE makes his job there on the screen and sound better, but the pressure was too strong and the stability highly questionable.
