First of all, the overall assessment:
I think that you get a good value for that amount of money. However, there are some quirks to which I will speak the same. My main reason for buying the Nokia C5 was in 1st line is that I - after my Nokia 3110 classic had gone to break - I was looking for a least ädequaten replacement. My main Interresse is still in the fact that I want to make calls with the part in 1st line and with the previous Nokia 3110 should be comparable to the voice and the quality of reception. After the viewings several reviews, where to choose the Sony Ericsson W595, W995, Nokia 5800 Express was (because price interressant for me) I decided on the Nokia C5.
Now for my experience:
+ Call quality and reception quality are quite satisfactory (though not as good as the old Nokia 6310i mobile phone, which I also own)
++ Music Player is very good and offers even better sound than the Nokia 3110 Classic (but only with a reasonable stereo earphones)
+ Headset with this - the phone flawless voice quality. Nor can the clip attached to the nice clothes and keep your hands free while making calls. The cable is long enough so that there is enough leeway in fixing the clip is present. The sound of the supplied headset to radio or music listening modest (that's what other headphones or earphones that fit thanks 3.5 inch jack)
++ FM radio reception is so much better than my previous Nokia 3110 Classic. Thanks to RDS, the tuning is easier
++ Internet is fast thanks UTMS access is no problem. Internet radio streams I can easily hear (which is also an important selling point for me)
+ Skype (Symbian version) running on the mobile phone - I can also order at UTMS phone connection. It "hakelt" Although a bit but basically it comes.
+ The navigation works. A nice "gimmick" I do not really need but now quite appreciate. The reception of the satellite is no problem from my Berlin office.
+ The camera takes in bright light amazingly useful pictures (The function is for me but unimportant)
+ The mobile device work with the relatively inexpensive micro SD cards (2 GB is already there)
Now to the negative thing I have noticed so far:
- The FM radio sometimes turns for no reason simply. I have found in div. Board notes that indicate a problem in this area. I have not yet found a real explanation. I have a bit of the "Saving radio stations" in suspicion. For transmitters that I have not put on a "station button" there was so far no problems. But there are still pending div. Tests.
- Battery time .... well. I do not know where to come from the good values for the battery time (that's me have noticed the 3110Classic). I use certainly the phone with his "gimmicks" desöfteren as one of the only phone. The 3G reception is turned on with me only when needed. But what I often use is the MP3 player function (2 hrs. A day) and the Radio. I realize that no battery can "miracle" to accomplish. But to speak of a pronounced long battery time I think is not right. I think that actually use the phone to play a role. Therefore, there is for me in this point no devaluation, just because the battery simply "normal" works - not more or less! I'll go with just 2 days back said Hnady is always switched off at night.
- The operating system already has its quirks. The programs that I have installed (Skype, Opera Mini, Nimbuzz) run in itself relatively "round" but it can sometimes come desselbigen for "crash" or the resources to their limits. During normal telephone operation, there are no problems. I also had (so far) not been off the phone completely if there was a "problem". (I believe there are no smartphones or mobile phones, the 100% error free) for me acceptable or "normal" - all in all.
- Very bad: Removing the SIM card and the micro SD card is (for me at least) is not without tools (tweezers - so however without problems). Inserting the SIM card goes without aids, inserting the Micro SD card requires at least a screwdriver or similar object. Since this is not always necessary, I can "live with" - annoying and unötig it is anyway.
- The display is easily scratched (but is certainly to avoid with appropriate care)
Conclusion:
I've been buying so far no regrets since I was looking for a quad-band phone for the holiday trip to the USA (and hereby also have found) that offers me a whole lot of "nice" Additional functions. In particular, the possibility of Internet radio listening is an invaluable advantage for me. So I could hear my favorite stations from the moving train without problems. However, the application offered by Nokia Ovi Store works with me at all (maybe someone knows a solution here ?!).

Since you can enter any MP3 stream and gets on their site then a transcoded AAC stream, which is then played back from the built-in Nokia C5 RealPlayer. If one maintains the Standarad bandwidth (32 kbit) then can be received via GPRS so any mp3 stream.
Thus, for me- needs no "unötigen" gimmicks - a Kaufpempfehlung!
