As Soko, we loved The Cure and painful melancholy. It was as much as it excited the warlike voices of these singers punk - Blondie, Siouxsie and others - that have defined a new femininity, honest and yet sexy, late 70 And we had even promised to do one day a disc tribute to the founding music. From there about us, suddenly, our childhood, our parents, our revolts, our disgust and our favorite heart. And then time passed and we have not recorded this album. We even stopped listening to Robert Smith or Joan Jett or Siouxsie Sioux. Soko, she did. And even well done. Because "My Dreams Dictate My Reality", despite a slight production deficit (the evil of our time, this lo-fi option poorly controlled) achieves a perfect balance - unstable, but perfect - between ownership and pleasant reminiscences incorporates codes which could yet exceeded. "My Dreams Dictate My Reality" is a fun album that lends easily to criticism, but that has nothing to be ashamed of, thanks to a handful of well tucked melodies, and especially thanks to the sincerity that emerges.
