Now it's so ahead of us: "Power Of Love", the new album by Rosenstolz. After being relatively torn in recent weeks by the critics, I can not agree with the whole. Certainly, Rosenstolz have a new style found musically evolved. Earlier melancholy has been transformed into life, full of optimism first appears in the lyrics. But musically can hear new sounds. While earlier has almost always prevailed the concept guitar, drums, keyboards and strings, one now hears eletronische influences. Whether this is progress? The first song of the CD "Sternraketen", a hymn on being in love, disappointed there ... zusehr is the refrain "trimmed catchy" on, too exaggerated acts of unlimited, euphoric optimism in the text. The decision to decouple this song as the first single, I find wrong. Other songs like the snotty "Come with" or the ballad "Princess on the siding" have both musically ideel significantly higher value. The song "Day in Berlin" next "Come with" my favorite song of "Power Of Love", conjures up - an incredible atmosphere waltz - really not cheesy acting. "It still hurts," a bittersweet midtempo ballad, while second single, on the other hand again shows where Rosenstolz see the style of their music at the moment: "Bodenstaendig and gerardlinig" - ambivalence with which former texts were almost ueberhaueft ( just think of "the Nature of Love") have no place in the texts. In general I have to say that on the record a single song the power of former ballads like "The sluts are tired" "The Solitude of roses" or "heart more beautiful" and "pearl" is reached - "Princess on the sidelines" is a beautiful song but it ripples something to himself. I think that would have done better Rosenstolz clearly trying to emphasize the two completely ueberfluessigen and ugly through and through songs "hot" and "power of love" (!) And to fill your space with two powerful ballads. However, I can say that "love power" an album that is worth to buy. Finally, The music of Rosenstolz is a new experience (so reminiscent some music connoisseurs however suspiciously Nena's "Chokmah") and it is worthwhile to make it!
