Conclusion:
A refreshing story that I had not expected by Garth Ennis. He manages to portray the world from the dogs perspective, with its own language and the specific habits of quadrupeds. Unlike various Disney variants, the animals behave here as they might behave in the real world, and not like humans in animal form. Since a male can sometimes spin when he senses a bitch in heat, and the smell of certain parts of the body must of course be checked regularly. Also signatory Michael DiPascale has managed to represent real animals, and to give them nevertheless optically emotions. Here the animals smile but his eyes, not with your mouth. Other emotions such as fear or anger are represented accurately.
If the factors Ennis and Avatar come together is clear that violence will play a role. Unlike other series, such as in Ennis Contributions to Crossed it does not serve here an end in itself, and is not the main reason to carry the story. Used so aptly saw violence in Ennis rare lately.
The volume contains the 6 published US spending, and forms a completed story. To date, announced a no sequel, but I would be interested in burning, what happens next in the world without people. Does not seem to be the worst of all worlds.
