I can not agree with the judgment of some reviewers. It falls in my eyes far too damning. I found the first book of Koontz 'Frankenstein trilogy quite entertaining and quite exciting. For those that Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" have read the novel, is the story told Koontz here quite a quite plausible modern continuation of the events of the original work is. Admittedly, the introduction of a more Hollywood-righteous cop / buddy story with respect to the more classic material not just the best choice. However, there are worse and in the course of the story told Koontz here, it does not fit so badly. To put a little effort, however intellectually affects the use of names from the original novel for new characters in this work. It is logical, even without this superfluous gimmick that the author Mary Shelley's novel knows. My conclusion: This book is not literature, it's entertainment. It tells a thoroughly modern horror story with a classic touch. I found the novel is not generally predictable. Many one suspects as a reader though expected, but the story still takes time and again new unexpected turns. Who will love to "Frankenstein" -Stoff found this story surely love. Four stars I forgive for the English edition.
