Heather Montgomery is a poorly thirty yourself. Not very comfortable with her body, she is still single to the chagrin of his mother and remains subscribed to the role of bridesmaid in the wedding of the other girls in the family. Moreover, his accountant job fits her brain daughter label but not funny. Tony McCaffrey is its opposite. Charming, flirty and talker it benefits a maximum of life. Fate will gather in Las Vegas, and after an evening full of twists and champagne bubbles, they wake up married. For reasons that I let you discover, Tony will agree to play the game of the model husband before Heather's family until the wedding of her cousin that takes place the following month. A month of cohabitation for two people who have nothing in common ... but do not they say that opposites attract?
Before I read, I read the author's description and I was a bit scared: Las Vegas, watered and wedding night, I feared falling into a novel in the style of "play" that I loved. Well not at all, even if the basic elements are similar, the novel is completely different. The story is nice, and even if one knows how it will end, the author tells us with enthusiasm, humor and emotion. So that we are caught in the lives of this couple and as we turn the pages with envy and curiosity.
The real plus of this novel is the characters. Heather, first of all, dreams of a fairy tale life but not the means to get it. She is confined to that of the hardened bachelor who does not suffer from his condition. She has a family and qu'envahissante suffers the taunts of her cousin and aunt. But over the pages we discover a romantic young woman certainly but lucid and strong. We have to love Heather for her strength of character but also its weaknesses. Then there was Tony, who under his tunes on him, hides many things. Despite an oversized ego, he has a great heart. We will also observe its evolution during our reading. The secondary characters are really nice too: the family of Heather's a cliché, between the exuberant mother, taciturn father and cousin uppity, but they bring a touch of madness in the quiet life of the young woman, as her best girlfriend Alison.
Although the main characters do not have a lot of charisma, I have found that their marriage was quite charming. The story is captivating and beautifully tour. The author makes us smile and shakes our little heart with his twists and turns. I recommend reading pleasure.
