1. The materials used, the size / weight ratio and the haptics are simply outstanding good. I have before buying so ziehmlich groped everything is on the market (eg. As Canon G12, Nikon P7100, div. Panasonic and Sony Nex's, Olympus XZ1 and pen's), m. E. all not comparable. Take the camera just like in the hand and puts it reluctantly back into his pocket.
2. The operating elements are all arranged very well and appropriately. Absolute SLR level. The jog wheel is a little small, but can still use yet very safe with medium hands of men. The manual zoom work very smoothly and the optical viewfinder is exactly what I have expected after the presentation: bright and brilliant, significantly greater than the competition from Nikon and Canon, but only a means in bright sunlight. For snapshots on the beach, he should do it. Have also allowed myself the original filter adapter / hood + polarizing filters. The threads are made very precise and can be easy on and turn off, without any tilting or fix (previously treated with a little pencil). For a rapid deployment time I have completely dispensed with (for me always annoying) neck strap. I use a wrist strap instead of leather (Manfrotto) and find the perfect combination.
3. Personally, I find the menu very well done and clearly. There are just a lot of possibilities to intervene. In particular, the saving of many individual settings in many modes is perfectly managed. It is thus possible for certain motifs (z. B. portrait, architecture) to save their personal settings.
4. The picture quality is m. M. for the sensor size quite outstanding. In particular, the Fuji color or the color saturation and retains details in shadows I find very appealing. The images in macro mode are detailed and depending on the setting and super sharp and contrasty.
And yes: there is also "white holes" (especially when lightning reflexes in glass and candlelight). If I could award half stars here, then I would pull this one. I hope there for rectification of Fuji, although mine is already aware that it could be a sensor problem ..... by some photographic skills can such situations indeed plan ahead largely avoided / mitigated, only snapshots of course this is impossible.
Negative course is also the battery life, which has little / nothing for me to do with the quality of the camera in the strict sense. Since you just buys one or two spare batteries and all is well.
Conclusion: If this camera must simply like what it is, who is upset about the dead battery, or Christmas in every picture with candles examined the white circles on holiday every night, which was a different camera advised, there are plenty of them. I would buy them again at any time.
