Cons:
- The click wheel is not the most stable click market, slightly slippery at the beginning we are sure to do some scrolling up / down with each click time to get used sustainably
- The buttons G8 / G7 (for PGD + / DPI- default) are slightly too easy to access, there will be some bad-clicks from time to time when the left mouse button will be used, but it should rather see it time to adapt to the mouse than anything else
- G5 / G4 buttons (the functions for front / rear default) are slightly too "long", it shows when our thumb naturally arise at the sniper button will show that the G4 button is too far back. Then always hesitate to position our thumb on the sniper button, just behind or just below the G5 / G4 buttons depending on its use. In addition, long-term care through sniper button is not a comfortable grip, the natural outlet of the thumb is behind the sniper button
- Lateral covering hard rubber which offers nothing more compared to the plastic since the material does not adhere
- The part of the thumb rest does not offer additional comfort compared to a conventional jack, which is a plus and will not feel that impairs the ability of a lighter grip (ie taken by. thumb at the mouse pad)
- The "selling point" of the button "G-Shift" (aka button function as Control or Alt key on a keyboard that provides access to additional functions) is a selling point in perspective. It is logical to attribute sniper button, but to think of it, there is no interest in the award and the other still thinking about it a little more, when you have your thumb on the sniper button can not not easily access the G5 / G4 buttons
- The price is about average for a gamer mouse, but you can obviously find a mouse with a similar comfort for less
In conclusion, there are a lot of "false benefits" in this mouse: enlightenment which is limited to a blue G, IPR 12000 that we will never use at maximum, thumb rest with questionable usefulness The wheel that is moderately stable for the click wheel ...
For those interested (because it is THE major criterion prompted me to buy this mouse at first): the grip.
It is slightly small for the palm grip, good for the claw grip and relatively good for the fingertip grip (my decision). Those in my case know that a good gamer mouse can be used in fingertip grip are relatively rare, so this is an upgrade in my case.
Another point that made me hesitate: the laser sensor.
Being old-school, I'm much more user-optical sensors rather than laser. The difference of course but for the G502 feels the difference will actually hardly noticeable. There is no deal-breaker in this high performance sensor.
5 * Why?
If one goes through all the aggressive marketing of the mouse, it is nonetheless an excellent handy and very reliable mouse (I speak of course of the sensor). No need to make the history of laser sensors problems on gamers mouse, we know them well!
This is not the mouse of the decade so ergonomics is improved, but it is however the best in the current market because its ease of use and its finish are of very good quality compared to the competition. We can always take the risk of buying the wrong finished plastic laid on sensors that lock every speck of dust and pay 100 euros ... but it's not very clever.
I hope this helps, good game everyone!
