The Ergo stool supports active sitting. This works really excellent. You sit not as passive as on a normal chair or stool immobile. It is similar to an exercise ball. The ergonomic design of Ergo lets the muscles of the back and the legs are always working something you sit upright and therefore healthier. It has nevertheless a stable and safe feeling when sitting.
My back pain after prolonged sitting are gone, the back felt already much better after a few days on. And that also has clear positive effects on my sporting activities in their free time.
(++) The build quality is very high, I have the floor panel in beech (oiled) with a very uniform grain. When your child sits much with street shoes on the stool, might suggest the base plate in aluminum.
(++) The height adjustment can be operated from either side.
(++) The seat is comfortably padded and are in motion for something. The image with which here the "Ergo for Kids" is advertised, this illustrates quite well. However, this feature is not in the description so that I would in this regard ask before ordering whether the "Ergo Top" technology is installed (movable seat).
(++) The stool is light and can therefore easily in the apartment dislocate. I am using the Ergo also at the dining table.
(++) The price-performance ratio is excellent.
So I can recommend this stool fully, and I think kids will have their fun with it.
