Old review 2012
It took a long, until I could bring myself to buy. I think I have really checked pretty much all the backpacks on the market - the dream backpack was not there. Unfortunately I had to discard my excellent Hedgren, he had just been served and it was wet when it rains. That is not to happen again, at least I hope so, because the Para Diver has water repellency (Plane). However, the middle zipper is in a horizontal seam and thus forms a groove in which is definitely collect rainwater. Whether the zipper tight stops here I dare to doubt ... well, we'll see.
Why I chose the yellow Para Diver? He's just classy and a unique special offer with 30% discount was then the trigger. The yellow color is classy (it is not! Post yellow) and ideal for the cyclist in traffic.
The Para Diver sits perfectly. Unfortunately, his 18-liter volume is somewhat scarce, 25 liters would be optimal. A medium wide ring binders fits so precisely into yet - read more then goes not.
I sometimes forget to close the zipper. No problem for the Hedgren, a union with clip closure then hides the opening. Good safety aspect. It is surprising that there is no longer this type Backpacks. Zippers are now uncovered externally accessible and therefore do not cover / lid. (Bags Backpacks excluded, but who do not have pockets) Obviously, the number of zippers is the feature that distinguishes a Backpack. Not a good safety feature. Even the Para Diver has side seals of which is redundant because the Rundumzipp regulates access inside and do just fine. Especially since the laptop can be inferred only from the top of the pocket anyway. The Velcro strap is designed for a 15 inch, my 13er is not encompassed by the belt, because the Velcro surface is too short. Still, a nice backpack.
