The situation is different at the Beethoven Violin Concerto. I would like the David Garrett not deny the virtuosity that he has certainly. but the Beethoven seems to me here to dozy therefore, to say, I lack the energy here, the furious, the enthusiastic that I could hear from others performers already with joy.
The first movement is very mild, slowly even without esprit. the cadences come again well. The second movement is in my opinion much more slowly and paralyzing. You would think this one of the most romantic violin concertos will be played and no Beethoven live plumper. too much icing here and also the accompanying orchestra splints me very, very sleepy.
I'd have no other interpretation know and appreciate, I could this disk possibly like it here better overall, so but it's not enough for me for the highest rating.
