Then she disappears into the mythical world. And always unfolds a dazzling display of oblique ideas. Implementation of this game is just phenomenal sections.
Alice is definitely a game for adults. There Will Be Blood, the humor is quite macabre and swearing is not too tight. But these same "adult" Alice creates enormous appeal, this mixture of absurdity, childlike innocent charm and brutality I have at least not previously experienced such. Unfortunately I have missed time to play the first part, therefore I lack even the comparison to the predecessor.
The controls are quite well done, although there are many keyboard commands (come later in ever more). However, there seems to be a bug, if you have chosen the pepper mill as a weapon. Unfortunately, sometimes after namely no other weapon select! That's pretty annoying and needs to be fixed.
Graphically impressed me Alice. On one hand, Alice has no current Monster graphics, on the other hand, the entire optical system fits the game. You can tell in every second the incredible attention to detail. Did not bother me, only that continuously repeat the character types in the "real" world. For example, see the "Bordsteinschwalben" always look the same and are then places two meters apart. In the fantasy world that would be gone through, but it bothers me a lot. But that's criticism on a high level.
The game supports PhysX, who so NVIDIA card calls his own, gets nice, but no breakthrough additive effects.
Also aurally the game is very well done. The German dubbing was consistently provided with professional speakers. Music is used sparingly and appropriately.
For me, Alice is the unusual title for years, because where other games boast of alleged realism, you get here a fresh, unused, stylish and lovingly converted setting, which can not be oblique.
I would rate the pure gameplay, I came to a maximum of three stars. Hopping, fight, press levers and valves, that's all. The puzzles are far from being sophisticated. Since the whole atmosphere, but this completely compensated, I admit whopping five.
Alice stands out pleasantly from everywhere these days existing games pabulum out clearly. That's why I hope also to commercial success, otherwise there will be neither a third part, nor the games industry is encouraged to present such exceptional titles. And that would be more than regrettable.
Important: The game continues to activate Internet connection required, but after that there is no longer online compulsion.
