Who regularly read my comments, has long known that I think Perahia for an absolute genius. Bach himself was still better classes, but unfortunately life never set foot in a recording studio. Perahia has taken over, about 250 years later, and the music speaks today still, catches a after the first few bars and produces reliable shpärische Rapture. What I personally find totally class, is that then still people like Beethoven sat down and wrote quite decent piano concertos, which actually after what Bach has delivered here hardly what one would have expected. Artist ticking because fortunately different.
