We are a 7-man brass band (6 Brass, 1 drummer) and do not want to deal with a lot of smuggling and technology, but the main focus on our core business, put the music. As also the fact that we want to put on the stage no XXL mixer and external effects processors, etc. belongs, because it pays a nobody in our area. We love to go to the concert to make a short sound check and then get started. So we are happy to have the "quick gig" ;-) The small Behringer console offers us this everything we need for our gigs.
- Sufficient inputs (it is sometimes narrow, because we remove the drums, just a small sub-mixer is added taken).
- Effective, "musical" EQs.
- A great, editable effects unit (the KLARK TEKNIK effects are better to classes, as that was what built earlier in the Behringer consoles).
- Effective "One Knob" compressor function for each channel (who rumgeschraubt ever on a compressor, know how annoying it can be to find the "right" setting).
- Adequate routing options
The panel is very clearly structured, despite its small size and the processing of the components used well (all potentiometers and sliders for example have a pleasant and approximately the same resistance).
The built-in USB interface which allows to connect the console without an interface to the PC is a nice gimmick, hence making the panel also "home recording" capable. Since I do not need that, I have not already tried.
A downer there, however. Behringer has beginning of the year attracted (virtually overnight) prices by 20-25%. I think that's a shame, because the argument "Good quality at a bargain price" now applies no longer unrestricted. It is therefore still very low, but is priced quite close to brands like Mackie, Soundcraft, Yamaha, etc.
I was lucky and was able to get hold of a panel for the 2014er price :-)
I highly recommend this controller for small bands who do not want so much to deal with techniques to. One has to briefcase size virtually everything. On board, what you need for the "fast" Live Sound
