Good alternative to conventional radio / satellite stations

Friday afternoons ordered, unpacked noon Saturday. Well done to Hermes (Yes.'s Right ;-)) I was looking for an alternative to the stations to hang on the wall or free-standing and had been able to find at Netatmo. Initially with 170 expensive I then become soft for 120. After now almost 24 hours operation I am very satisfied. When unpacking find two sensors, one for inside and one for outside (this is slightly smaller) and a USB power adapter. Small disappointment: the internal sensor has no battery and must constantly be on the network. So you have to choose a place with socket! The outdoor sensor is supplied with batteries included. Well to start: How are no manual in writing (but only a few pictures) common exists. I own an iPhone 4S and have first downloaded the app Netatmo. If you have no Netatmo, the APP should still download and view the demo version! If you want to take the Netatmo in operation, is one then there intuitively explains what you must do. Below is a link to the internal sensor via Bluetooth. That worked perfectly. Before that quickly logged onto the server Netatmo and the outdoor sensor set The whole process takes less than ten minutes, If you have difficulty calling the Help menu of the app, everything there is again explained. The app is self-explanatory anyway. Just click somewhere and see what happens, one can not break anything.

The difference from conventional stations (which, by radio, conventional signals from a weather server received). is in Netatmo still measuring the air quality inside and outside. Later I even found a Netatmo app for my windows 8.1 RT tablet which fetches the data from the server and graphically represents.

Conclusion: is obtained as two hardware sensors and a lot of software. Through the wireless connection all "Spielerchens" the Internet are possible, if you like it then. Nothing hangs on the wall, but it has its weather information wherever you go. Great idea, great implementation. Only the entry into operation / configuration may be a bit strange for computer / mobile phone lay.
