Two years ago I got then a second cat (Misha * 25.02.2008). He also likes to drink hot and intimately running water from the tap. So far I had always been a drinker (3 liters) are in the bathtub. Thus, I could be sure even in hot weather, the two always get enough to drink. However, these potions also very greenery has scheduled and then looked in spite of cleaning only unsightly. Thus, I now have a few weeks ago again taken up the idea to buy a cat drinking fountain .. I geforstet me through the internet and read several tests to (also at Amazon.com). The customer recessions have me here then it led to yet another try and have ordered the Lucky-Kitty Drinking Fountain for Cats. Convinced me have the positive descriptions for volume (very quiet), for easy cleaning (dishwasher safe) and the lack of necessity of filter bottles or separate cat water. That would be so even been Surcharges.
The device was packed very well and safely. Unpacking made my two rascals very curious. The first assembly of the pump with the associated hose was a bit tricky, since the two hose ends are somewhat closely aufzustülpen to just the two intended ends (at the pump and the bowl). After I had made a little wet, we went. The supplied felt pads I glued under the lower shell, so that the device is not directly on the tile floor in the bathroom. Hämmt also the hum quite well. After I filled the water and above the other slipped the two shells, it went off. I put the plug in the socket and the water began to gush. Mischa was immediately interested, nudging with the paw into the water and held pure nose. Teddy has withdrawn it for now and has also made a few days to steer clear of the cat fountain. He must have thanks to Mischa but then realized that the unit a well-doing nothing and then drunk sometimes. A few days later I got the old potions removed from the bath and the cats well was therefore used by both.
The Lucky-Kitty Drinking Fountain for Cats is a really good alternative to the flowing water from the tap, but is still only 2nd place in the two.
When I'm at home, I have to use the tap regularly. ;-)
Only a short accessory: 1. I have halved my additional round felt pads and have them glued between the upper and lower shell. Thus, in itself quiet hum of the pump is more subdued.
This quiet hum is really a plus for this device. Even at night, it does not bother.
2. I have a straw (with bend) shortened a bit and this stuck with the long end in the orifice. Well there goes the water from the straw as from the tap. That's when my two very good.
Conclusion: I can really recommend the Lucky-Kitty Drinking Fountain for Cats.
