- Appearance / overall quality: ++
Much better than my old Krupps from quality materials. Chrome parts that reassure. The solid plastic filter holder handle (but the tab to hold the filter holder when the vacuum is too fragile - Experience will be broken by the repeated shocks in a year, two at most ...). The reservoir against seems fragile. I recommend anyway to extract it to fill it. That's what I did on my Krupps and after 6 years the tank bottom seal began to leak. Other defects must be put on the side of the machine to see the fill level. The filter door is difficult to fix, but it is quite normal at first - in a few months it will be much more flexible.
- Quality of espresso and operation: ++
Nothing to say next coffee quality. The operating noise is also more content on my Krupps and this machine vibrates a lot less. I just regret the lack of a button 1 or 2 coffees that would automatically stop the flow. For that we must go upmarket. This is unfortunate as little complicated in my opinion.
- Conclusion
A machine that is reassuring in terms of quality of materials and workmanship. It remains to be assessed over time. My Krupps very lower manufacturing quality has withstood eight years without a single scaling, it is an ambitious goal I also fixed to this Delonghi.
