The arguments for this are for me:
- Good price
- Easy assembly
- Safe transport of wheels
- Quick mount a bicycle without cumbersome handles
- Lockable carrier + bikes
- Flexibly adjustable for wheels, no problems in Fully with large tires and specially cut frame.
Disadvantages I have now unfortunately also discovered why only 4 stars:
- The gripper, with which one is fixed the wheel to the frame in the middle encloses the down tube of the bicycle frame. Especially with dirty trips by mountain bike then you have sand between the frame and gripper. This results in a short time to drag marks on the bicycle frame. My tip: frame before attaching to the appropriate place always rinse with water and clean the surfaces. The bicycle frame with a protective film at the appropriate point paste.
- The gripper will eventually wear out. By opening and closing the clamp increasingly slips away. Use the carrier alerdings for two years every weekend, and several times a week and has had no defects.
As I said I am very happy with the price-performance and have therefore ordered twice.
