The contract sponge works well, but it is far too expensive in my eyes. I have resorted as an alternative to a simple kitchen sponge. A 5-pack of costs about 0.50 EUR at the grocery store. The individual sponge thus comes to 0.10 EUR. The application works with it as easily and after use, it is simply thrown away. There remains the argument that the contract sponge protects hands from dirt and the kitchen sponge does not. That's true, however, this shortcoming can be easily solved by using a disposable glove, which is available at every gas station good free. All in all, I see at this price is no reason to buy the product, especially as the durability is limited to a few applications, because the sponge over time (like any other sponge also) wears.
