Through the use of two rotating brushes it creates the Dirt Devil latest in a front-back before moving to carry the dirt safely into the collection container.
The device is well thought out in the operation. Even the main brush can be removed with a few simple steps for cleaning. The battery is removed for charging _not_. That's not at all, because the socket of a hollow plug in the battery casing fits _not_ the charger and one should not try to make things fit ;-)
Battery performance is good and has bestowed on me now alternating speeds, a useful life of 20 minutes, and the battery is not yet empty. That's the advantage of a brush sweeper compared to a battery-powered vacuum cleaner. The latter is not much that one can easily calculate given the required amount of current for a vacuum cleaner.
Three things I liked not so good at the Dirt Devil:
a) The housing is easily scratched and completely unprotected (no rubber bumpers for example).
b) The pivot is a practical matter, however, is not enough as far as in a conventional brush sweeper or a vacuum cleaner (only 90 degrees instead of 180 degrees).
c) The castors are a bit too small. The plays on Laminant, linoleum and carpet not matter, but on a tiled floor, it is unfavorable. I would not use the Dirt Devil on tiles. This is bad for the device.
The workmanship is overall alright. The switch in the handle and probably only single-use connectors lolly (-> assembly) illustrate the high weakest components.
Conclusion: The Dirt Devil M668 duplex is a well thought out and sufficiently effective device without serious weaknesses. The price, however, is high with almost 65 EUR.
