The manufacturer's product description does not promise too much. I can only agree performs in all respects the Hama. The short USB cable has advantages and disadvantages as already described here. A USB extension cable I've connected permanently because my MP3 player already, the short cable in use to me, therefore, plays only a subordinate role. The optically transparent blue housing are successful while the free view of the inner workings, but also makes a fragile impression. On the other hand, this should not be a problem. In daily use, the Reader is probably anyway on the table or to transport with plugged into a pocket (camera) and should take no harm there. The memory cards can be plugged easily be read quite acceptable depending on the card type and because the cards are introduced only about half, they can be just as easily remove it again. In case the current hardware version of the V2 card reader can be found on the top of a brightly shining only in read / write activity clearly visible LED. For me it was also the fact of meaning that no additional drivers to install. The included software bundle is also excellent. To manage quite fast becoming very extensive picture archives, the ULEAD Phot Explorer is quite good. The recovery tool from PC Inspector also provides some useful utilities, which should be used but at least in part by experienced users. The price / performance ratio is a total fine, which is not least also thanks to the supplied software. I am very satisfied with the device and it would not hesitate to recommend without hesitation and buy yourself again.
