My notebook should mainly watch the films, are used for wireless surfing and writing at any place in the home or on the balcony. Since I have no television, is watching DVDs on PC, sitting on the desk chair, no special pleasure with the notebook in bed or on the sofa all the more.
The TravelMate 4062WMLi is compared to other notebooks of this performance class pretty low, which seems purely externally not to be at the expense of quality. It looks solid and stable processes.
The screen has the beneficial Movies widescreen format, but it is not is one of the high-contrast, highly reflective CrystalBrite panel (I have them viewed in an electronics store and was not convinced). Nevertheless, it is very bright and evenly lit, and as long as no more than three people sitting side by side at the same time and look at the monitor, everyone has a good view.
The quality of the speaker is surprisingly good; sometimes they seem a bit quiet, but there are programs that can amplify the sound. The integrated microphone seems rather useless; the sensitivity is too low.
Excited I am by the power of the integrated WLAN module - I took earlier an external recipient, its connection quality constantly fluctuated and the (what I put on the router, but it is still the same) also like to got out, now I can really reside in every corner, without losing the signal.
The battery life is really lean with about 1 1/2 hours, but I had already read in several tests. The notebook is obviously not primarily intended for use on the road, unless you want to specify an additional battery for about 100 Euros and then lug around in addition to 3kg of the device.
I have indulged my another memory module, not only because the graphics card mitnutzt system memory, but also because I have already stated in the prior-PC that an ordinary RAM capacities subjectively can some make up in performance and speed - it works just pleasant, if you do not have to wait forever, until an application is launched.
I use the notebook for about a month and am more and more pleased with it. Since I'm a bit sensitive to noise and the hum of various PC cooler despite expensive insulation measures annoying in the long run, the almost completely noiseless Acer is a real treat.
