Positive criticism:
- The luminance is pleasant for a uplight and at about 20 watts also much more economical than herrkömmliche R7s halogen spotlights.
- Taste is considered individually, a total of like the lamp but. The scratches and cracks in the acrylic glass (see below) are of course deficiencies that can be claimed on the purchase. At least the manufacturer advertises "Globo Lightning" with quality requirements and quality control (who probably does not work here).
- The amount of reading light also reaches over a sofa back and is of the luminosity and pleasant by reducing the annular surface and shadows.
- The ability to turn the floodlights ring also nice. So if necessary, the reading lamp are supported or even the light can be directed against the wall. The partially replaces missing dimming function, which is unfortunately only to high-priced floodlights with LEDs.
Negative criticism:
- The acrylic glass is in the lamp delivered me not satin, but clear (glass ring). Only the point at which the LEDs are is a layer with a satin acrylic glass on the inside can be seen. Depending on how you read the description leißt this can be seen as right or wrong. What is certain is that the customer can quickly understand incorrect and therefore expects another product. The pictures and the description can be a clear dominance not readily recognize. When the lamp is about to, which of course is immediately visible. According to the consignor (Peters ...) it was a mistake to describe the product, ie the lamp is not available with frosted glass ring. This shows that even dealers do not view the description as misleading. The identical lamp übrigends offered outside the Amazon Marketplace in 'satin'.
- The acrylic glass is very poorly finished. For me it has scratches and edges are missing whole pieces. Both immediately catches the eye when the lamp is on, since the glass is illuminated. The lamp is ewas in the form available to me for a ton.
- The chrome body of the switch unit and the light rings is made of plastic. This is also not 100% plan or flat. Through the reflective chrome look also these workmanship falls directly in the eye.
- The lamps can indeed be exchanged according to the description, but it is not is standard LED bulbs. This raises the question of how well can provide traders items or spare parts.
Suggestion:
Globo should offer an identical copy of the design that is made entirely of brushed Edestahl instead acrylic safety glass and beyond has a dimmer. I would be the first customer accesses and would also like to pay 100 EUR more.
Update:
- Lamp is now back-handled because removal of defects (replacement of the acrylic glass against a glass with no processing defects) is not possible. This suggests that even with a defect a spare part is hard to come by. Whether this is different with the bulbs with special form and at what price I can not judge. But who is planning the medium term, should ask the dealer of trust in advance.
- The demonstrated at the manufacturer contact "office @ ..." returns an error, so it is in fact dead.
