The Brandit parka is as the original pretty much cut and can be buttoned up to a certain extent more closely with a band around the hips. The shiny teddy-lining (soft cuddly toy) is buttoned, feels comfortable and does the job. The Teddy lining the original Parka is something firmer and more reminiscent of the surface of already very by gekuschelten lamb stuffed animals. But comfort and thermal properties are likely to be similar.
The upper is almost indistinguishable from the quality and terms of weight from the original. The biggest difference between reproduction and original my is that the original version has a thin lining that covers the entire inside. The Brandit parka has the feed only on the front of the chest and sleeves. For the hood of two layers of outer material were used.
When shoveling snow, I noticed that the reproduction is apparently not impregnated and the cotton fabric absorbs the water. The original offer here at least a minimal moisture protection in the drizzle. Here you have to rework itself so if necessary. The moisture protection was in my experience but not just the strength of the original.
Overall I am very satisfied so far. At temperatures below 0 degrees you should still use a suitable under-jacket.
