I ordered this cover as the opening is on the small side, which allows the set permanently in a backpack. And so will not be forced out the cover out of the MacBook told backpack.
To my old MacBook I had a bag be.ez dress and between the two at the same price, frankly the "dress" is better on all points. But no opening on the short side.
