I have currently a Samsung S2 +, according to the bar is set pretty high. Have looked at the LG because I am dissatisfied with the S2 + the small battery and a notification LED miss.
The case:
The device is very small for a 4.3 "display and is great in the hand. The haptics I would describe as inscribedable still good. No Lumia, not even a Galaxy, but for the price range in any case in order. However, the housing very smooth, so for me an envelope would be mandatory.
The display:
The IPS display like it very much. The possible viewing angles are perfectly adequate, similar to the S2 +. The maximum brightness is higher than the Samsung. A brightness sensor is not on board. The problem in some described the brightness reduction under load I could not tell. The reaction behavior like it very much.
Audio playback:
On headphones I could find no background noise. The audio quality falls on neither negative nor positive. Good average I would say. If you like it can use Dolby Headphone, and other audio settings.
The speaker is louder than the S2 +, but sounds very "thin" and overridden at high volumes massively. Thumbs Down! Better to continue the quiet S2 + ...
The Camera:
Compared with the (very good) camera of the LG S2 + is completely chance. The pictures are simply useless for my taste at twilight: Pale colors, strong noise, out of focus! For me, at this point the test was over - such pictures I got the last time with my Nokia C5 received.
This and that:
- The notification LED like it very much
- The LG user interface is used to, but it works well
- The pre-installed LG Apps can uninstall itself - very good!
- The short-cuts in the notification screen can be configured - very good!
- The duration and call quality I can not make statements (the test was over before ...)
As far as my impressions. For me the device for lack of reasonable camera is unfortunately useless. Who put less emphasis on good photos (on phone) sets, which makes my opinion, with the L7 II nothing wrong. Large and replaceable battery, small dimensions, good display, notification LED and Micro-SD has put together a very coherent package LG. 4 stars for that!
