Housing
- For a 5 "device, the LG is pleasantly small and very light, since the ZL is no longer the official Sony says it all, it is currently the smallest unit of this size display Well done, LG..!
- Plastic as far as the eye can see ... The device is neither optical nor haptic response to me. It is not a luxury-class model, but my old Samsung S2 liked much better hand and eye.
- The thin plastic enough weight to advantage. The LG is also due to the rounded back very comfortably in your hand!
- The keys are back: nice when you hold it upright, but awkward in the horizontal. Non-slip buttons around I find meaningful. Habituation thing

Camera
- My ZL sets the bar high - too high for the G3s. For a photo by the way the camera is okay, but this phone is not even replaced a cheap digicam!
- There is a lack of resolution, so that enlargement ends quickly in pixels mud.
- Photos in daylight are okay - a bit like the S4 Mini. The ZL is (eg switch HDR) overlooking dynamic range, contrast ratio and automatic detection of the photo situation clearly superior.
- In the dark, the distance will be even greater, although the ZL here for example Samsung's S4 or LG G2 clearly inferior.. Whether with or without flash: Details disappear and strong color noise is visible. Such cameras can be found precisely in the 200EUR class.
- The laser focus is quickly and reliably sharp, but even the sensor sets the limit very early. Pearls before swine.
Speaker
- The speaker is much better than the Optimus G or G2 mini!
- Very high volume and no distortion - very good!
- Unfortunately, extreme height emphasized - the sound spectrum is in ZL and S4 Mini significantly wider.
- On balance, but perfectly adequate, for example as a speakerphone in your car..
Sound quality through headphones
- In every way and very good (also with regard to the maximum volume.) On par with the very good ZL!
- MP3 player I can only recommend the G3s. A clear increase in the G2 mini!
Software
- The LG surface like it very much because of the simplicity. Easy stuttering are still on the agenda.
- The everyday use, but relatively weak processor makes itself also felt elsewhere: Miracast is not supported!
Display
- The lower resolution of the ZL struck me to own astonishment immediately, although the LG HD offers. Nevertheless, sites can be read well. Everything green so.
- Disturbing is the low maximum brightness. (When the sun is shining ...)
- There is no automatic brightness control: Thick minus point!
As far as my impressions. Phone conversations I have with the device is not, so I can not comment on the performance in this respect.
Conclusion
- As with the LG G2 mini shares the G3s, only the name with the flagship of the manufacturer. Obviously, only Apple and Sony in a position high-end hardware to pack small formats in (comparatively). Too bad.
- For the 200EUR G3s provides good performance. If rich 4.7 "is for the S3 Neo 200EUR still the 1st choice.
