Customer Review

Jai David Gemmell known by this unique book (jentends thereby that he is not part of one of the author of cycles and that it is perfectly autonomous) as lon kindly lent me one day and I must say that i was pleasantly surprised. Laspect which i really hooked is the absence of this unbearable lon Manichaeism that found in many fantasy oeuvres. Here, all heroes have generally not a glorious past at all and villains were previously great knights. The story is very catchy and even despite the significant number of characters for a single novel, we find sy easily and the character of each is done well.

However it is regrettable that the end I find a bit hasty, which is a shame because an author has to treat even more particularly note the beginning and the end that all the rest of the book to ensure the best possible view of the reader at the opening and closing. Moreover, almost all of the names used for the characters comes from Irish mythology and one might wonder what connection can there be between lusage of these names and history itself. For the character of Morrigan, this is relatively understandable, but for others? I think of Lug and Samildanach example are two distinct characters in the novel, but one god in mythology.

Otherwise, the different changes of perspective during the playback Mount undisturbed although I am not very fond of this kind of transition rather brutal chapter of course.

In conclusion, I recommend reading this book to anyone who wants to have an idea of the author. It will now be necessary that I immerse myself in lun of these cycles that must be of a higher level still.
