Also some scenes are incomprehensible for me descriptions being, once again, not specific enough in the scenery (the room with the model of the world at the end for those who have read).
Finally I found it long. The paper used is very fine, relatively small print, no one has the impression of moving. It does not mean that the book is boring either, the action is always changing, there is no hollow. It's just that the 500 pages of this book should represent 1500 pages in a "big" editor. Your pace of play will find strangely changed the wrong way (but that's a matter of feeling and taste).
Although I started with the negatives there still has very many positive points. The first, and not least, is that the book is written in French and that for the Fantasy is rare enough to be reported. There has style in writing despite the book is written by two authors, and if we do not know, it does not guess.
I come back, but the world is a marvel of originality. The Orbiviate is a character in itself and can even be the main character of the story.
Volume 1 is a true story that does not need to read Volume 2 to be complete, it is not a cut-episode saga.
And most importantly, despite its flaws it made me want to read Volume 2 that I bought (and I start just in time to write this review). I am severe compared to the other reviews but I think it lacks just not much to this book to be a very good book. I hope the authors will improve these points during their upcoming stories. To be continued in Volume 2 ...
