To the left there is the 3.5 mm jack. On the left side of the microUSB charger connector (can be charged with chargers by almost all manufacturers except Apple) and a microHDMI port. About the microHDMI port you can connect an input source of your choice (TV, projector), the Z10 with a suitable, non-supplied cable. I have not tested. Right there are 3 buttons for volume and a button for voice dialing (which I do not use). Downstairs is the relatively loud (perfectly adequate) speakers. On the back of the camera with LED auxiliary light.
As already mentioned, the battery cover is not firmly integrated into the housing. This, unfortunately, the Z10 will lose some of the good feel. Over time, you realize when to pack the device in his right hand, that in addition to (or under) the volume buttons seemingly yielding something right. A closer look, I noticed that the gaps are minimal here greater than in other places. This tarnishes somewhat the overall impression but can with a small piece of paper which is glued via Tesa be resolved quickly.
Call quality

With a smartphone should be able to make calls. This category - I can say now - wins the Z10 against virtually all devices that I had previously. Call quality is compared with the iPhone 5 much better. Against the Note 2, the Z10 does already severe but again I think I would prefer the Z10 the Note 2.

BlackBerry Link software

I'm not a PowerApp users but every now and then I miss at Blackberry but one way or another good app. When perquisites I miss z. B. My runtastic app from iPhone for listening to music and I use very much like Spotify. Both apps there are, unfortunately, not yet in the App Store. But I must confess that I knew that from the beginning and was therefore set out. It does not bother me except for these 2 apps. BlackBerry and App developers also keep working constantly publish new apps. So last week Whatsapp was launched. The more users BlackBerry will get here eventually the more apps are ported from other devices. It is also to a certain extent to us.
By the way: Angry Birds Star Wars was free with my Z10.
Performance / Display

The performance is absolutely sufficient in every area. One notices the Z10 actually almost never that a dual-core processor in the background tinkers "only". All Apps open quickly and pleasantly available immediately. So I miss here no speed resources and if BlackBerry still has time about new firmware versions on the performance screw to turn.
The display is presented rather unspectacular at Blackberry. Neither are insane wallpapers installed or not on the screen for a background image enough space. But that suits the device. With the Z10 I would like to answer emails and write, check my calendar and respond to Facebook requests but does not look wallpapers. For the aforementioned purposes, the display is perfect. It can be even more easily read in sunlight and reacts smoothly and very reliably on inputs. The used icons for the apps have been with a lot of meticulousness selected and created and leave no questions, what is the point & purpose hidden behind the symbols.
Writing

Texts writing on the touch screen is almost always an ordeal and is avoided by me as much as possible. Not so with the BlackBerry. Here really makes writing fun as it vonstattengeht liquid and at least almost without errors. Here, the notation is not very different from other devices. Just type the letter and writes his text. The difference makes very clever writing software from the 95% always propose the right words and after a short time knows which words are well-intentioned. But again, every now and then remain error unfortunately not enough. And this is correct, unfortunately, not quite as comfortable as with Android. BlackBerry Hub

The BlackBerry Hub is the central entrance of the Z10 and collects all important inputs (email, SMS, Whatsapp messages, calls, Facebook messages) clearly in one place. In the standard view you can see all messages are received. Since you only the news looks when the display is on BlackBerry has on the front of the device (the right of the front camera), a red LED integrated once the new messages are received regularly flashes. Software / Usability

Somehow the showpiece of the Z10. Elegant and unobtrusive it tinkers in the background. From the Power that's inside you get hardly anything with. But I do not want to enter it great how great the software is but rather write about the usability. Because that is designed differently than other devices on the total abstinence of buttons. It works only with gestures. The "awakening" of the Z10 (or unlock) done in the case no home button but a swipe gesture from the bottom up. Here you get the display in the feedback you can see how an imaginary mist is released and the homescreen comes to light. Settings of Apps are accessed with a swipe gesture from the edge of the screen top to bottom. An app "includes" one in which one wipes the app from the bottom up in the background. The app remains in the memory of the Z10 and will continue to operate. A thumbnail shows a figure to match the app on. So I use z. B. a battery app which if you run in the background, shows the battery level in percent signs. The calendar shows upcoming events, Whatsapp the last conversation, etc., I can not stress here as practical that is. With a wipe from the BlackBerry Hub to the right (ie from right to left) an overview of the open apps appear and you can see at a glance all the important information (in my case: battery level, next appointment, messages, etc.). With another wiping back to the left one is in the hub back and sees all emails & messages.

After two weeks Z10 use I can say that the operation is already so passed into flesh and blood, it is a pleasure to work with the device. The overview of open apps with the dedicated thumbnail for preview genial and facilitates the work immensely.
Camera

The camera I have hardly used so only a short feedback: in my view, the camera is sufficient. You can not keep up with the awesome camera of Lumia 920 and HTC One certainly but that's not the focus of the Z10.
Battery life

My Z10 runs on a single charge almost 48 hours. I think that's well above average. In the first test, I've read that the battery life is not good. I can not confirm. Compared to Note 2 of the battery lasts almost 100% longer (1 day to 2 days). However, I must also enable only when the red LED flashes when the inputs Z10. With most other devices you must always activate to control inputs the display.
Conclusion:

The Z10 has long been another device that I find really really good. It is not a braggart but an implement. While other devices look good at the beginning and continue to fall with increasing use in the favor of the user that is at Z10 other way around. In the beginning one is still uncertain and finds the other or other gripe (missing apps) but with increasing use, you realize how comfortable it is easy to have everything quickly at a glance and to finally write comfortably on a touch screen keyboard.
