I can quite understand what some of my expose Vorrezensenten on this album. The CD I bought, expecting Keane - usual fare: slightly catchy music that you can do but more often without them sick of hearing himself. So I have loaded on the car ride home full of anticipation and was first shocked. That's not Keane, I thought to myself, the pleasant sounds were exchanged for the absolute mainstream (of Keane still never really fernlag). But by listening to the second or third time I have been more and more excited. Keane is definitely become "erwachserner". Sure, as you would expect first Keanefan something else, but in all honesty - a third album á la Hopes & Fears or Under The Iron Sea would have also been extremely boring, right? Keane seem to have merged a bit of money from the first two albums and Tom bought a guitar, which falls quite significant. The songs are faster and, in some way, something flat, metallic in tone. Do you have to get used to it, but is really good. The vocals of Tom, as always, quite nice, though his desire for theatrical self-representation can not hide in this album, and in general the album is less melancholy than the first two. As I said, a very good body of work that is determined can hear over and over again without its being tired - Keane up. One of the best albums in recent months determined, in recent years, perhaps. But there are then also still the other Keane albums. With Perfect Symmetry Keane have managed to get rid of the status of Coldplay Imitators. Keane needs no comparison to Coldplay more, and if it'd have to be one, then please: Keane is the better Coldplay!
