Good features, but poor overall performance

The Navigon depends in our second car and always when I'm traveling with, I really afraid that the unit me to bring to your destination.

Problem: Erratic crashes where only reset helps. I always joked that most Windows werket in the background and eventually came in fact a Windows error window. I thought Animal House.

The cuts are a nuisance, but not reason for 2 stars.

Coming back to the negatives:
- Destination input compared to TomTom a horror:
The "crossing" option does not exist, for example here. You have to know a number already. If you bad luck has transported a long in the streets just to the wrong end (as happened to me the day before yesterday). I knew only one block and there wanted him back, but did not. Or I did not find the input option, what it does but not better.
- The device is noticeably sluggish. One notices that Windows really works in the background. And "scrolling" screen changes take a long time sometimes across the screen they obowhl easy to just disappear.
- The principle of the POIs I did not understand. When TomTom I can just load POIs from the net, popping on the map and, Go. I wanted to with the Navigon also, but somehow went not, and the research on the net then told something of a fee-based add-on program, and then it goes like this, and this and that must be respected ... as I had no desire. Do not misunderstand: I'm will to sit down with the unit apart. I only have a problem when another device is so much easier to use.
- The expected arrival time is always too early, which is due to a too high assumed average speed. For me that's a minus point again because I know how "easy" it is to other devices This has nothing to do with getting used to a specific device. The operation is easy for me not intuitive.)
But for Speed: As fast as I can not boards on the motorway and country roads to reach these speeds, there shall be accepted, even with the big spin.

Positives:
- TMC is a fine thing and works here really super.
- Lane Assistant also works great and is really a help. In the price category TOP!
- The specifications for allowable speed are clearly and accurately - also a plus
