Customer Review

Since I know my not very good with photography and appropriate technology I write this review also mainly for people who also have no idea of ;-)
This small time-lapse camera holds on the whole delivers what it promises.

In some other reviews, the picture quality was very criticized. I agree that here most smears are actually making. The images are not necessarily colorfast and free from noise, in spite of performed focusing not razor sharp. The often criticized resolution I find for the purpose actually but adequate. The focus is a little uncomfortable and only manually adjustable, but this has the advantage, and probably also the reason that this is the focus does not change in between when recording a longer time series. Incidentally, the lens diameter is so small that you focus mostly does not need to be set: I always got it to "infinity", then everything from 30cm distance is really sharp. What makes the camera extremely well, is to adapt to the lighting conditions. While it represents a scene selection beforehand a what lighting conditions are expected in about (which then sets the upper limit of the exposure time fixed), but the exposure time is automatically adjusted itself perfectly to the conditions. So you can for example spend a day "filming" the Bilck out the window and the image is always well exposed but never overexposed. It is even possible to record at night and star (actually, the Earth's rotation) to make their scheibare movement visible.

The setting options are limited, but okay. One can use as rudimentary surveillance camera the camera even as one example, to set a time stamp or can set a timer to be at what time ever recorded. The operation is relatively inconvenient by today's standards, but you can get used to it.
By choosing different frame intervals and the frame rate in the final video can be determined the lapse factor. I've usually quite modest time compression (between factor 10 and factor 2000) made in order to make for example the construction of a puzzle, walking the hands of a clock or the path of the sun, moon and stars, and cloud flying or the growth of a snowpack visible. Theoretically it is possible with appropriate patience but also make films over several days with higher time-lapse factors and so make for example the growth of plants visible or balding of trees in autumn, etc. I will certainly try yet. Short for gimmicks such kind of options settings are perfectly adequate and very diverse.

The batteries last for a long time but not forever. But there are four standard AA batery, you can buy more cost-effective.
Included with even a set of batteries and a 4GB SD card was included. This is enough for first gimmicks. The videos will be saved in uncompressed AVI format and are accordingly quite large. At 20 fps one second of finished film (= 20 images) has about 4-5 MB, so you get 4GB of course quickly sense if one takes a longer film. Since it is advisable to purchase a larger memory card (16 or 32 GB wealthy but completely). The cost also no longer the world.

CONCLUSION:
The image quality and the ease of use can not be compared with a normal camera quality but much worse. But the fairly wide range of setting and the high adaptability to the most varied lighting conditions are for the relatively low price but certainly evaluate well as and ideal for beginners to play around!
