The book I know not .. the movie I can say this: he has a lot of beautiful pictures and is exciting for a period film. Relatively long, yet not boring. The conclusion was predictable, many movies have a happy ending ... but in this case it was satisfactory that the Medicus was allowed to continue his work to write a story ..!
