First, at the first impressions, the design is really nice, very clean, the cable is very (even too) hard, and the whole is generally very discreet. It only heat a little bit after prolonged use, but really nothing embarrassing, everything is "discharged" through the plastic.
Let's move now to the main point; the image. I tested this adapter with a MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2011, you must connect the cable to the Thunderbolt port. I bought this camera for use with two things; an older monitor with 1024x1080 via VGA, and my TV in full HD 1080x1920 via HDMI.
At the VGA, I really have nothing to report; no noise, no latency, recognizing the screen by the computer takes less than 3 seconds. A flawless so.
HDMI for either, not much to report either. No not latency, the recognition of my computer screen is just as simple, it "bride" not HD as another adapter that I bought earlier (the max resolution of 1280x720). The bad thing, which is, ironically, made of black spots; parasites. If I parameter so that the TV screen either 50 or 60 Hz, parasites are absolutely EVERYWHERE, and if you do not notice the first look, this is really, really annoying when you want to watch a movie or play a game, however, in 30 Hz or lower, it becomes steady. apart some black spots and white at times, and rarely enough, it becomes enjoyable with my VGA monitor. The problem is probably not with my cable, because I play my Wii U 60Hz using it and I never had (and I do not have) problems with. Is it an adapter problem? Is it a problem with the mini DisplayPort flow? I do not know.
In any case, despite this flaw, I can only recommend this adapter; he overall still very, very stable. And most importantly, its price / quality ratio is unbeatable! The Apple Mini DisplayPort cable to VGA costs 35 euros, does (as the name suggests) that the Converting to VGA, and is also stable. In short: go for it!
PS: As I said, or rather explained by omission, I have not tested the DVI function, but given the VGA, there are no real reasons she does not.
