I like Jon Sonmez, his blog and his writing style, so I did not thought of not buying this book. He enlightens the fact, did a "common" developer has to play the Game of Life, eg build networks, be social (more or less) and reflects his attitude. For me as an engineer it's a common sense to act like he's written the topics, so did what not new for me, but I know a lot of people (mostly undergraduates or non-Studied devs) who are not motivated enought to bring Themselves "Forward". Nevertheless, the part with the Entrepreneurship and did you have to go out to the open source world and take care of OS products was amazing and inspiring. What's missing or a bit short is the interviewing process. That part is better handled in "Cracking the Coding Interview: 150 Programming Questions and Solutions" by Gayle McDowell.
