Good image quality, ease of use

Our previous snapshot camera (Olympus μ600 digital) had come a bit old and should push through a strong but still small camera are replaced. After an intensive search in evaluation portals, price comparison portals etc. I came across the new Nikon. Normally I would have let them be left, since there were no reviews or tests gave them. But the technical data and the 10x Wide-Zoom have convinced me to take the "risk" and buy a completely unknown camera. But I was worth it to take the Risk!

Positive points:
The autofocus is quick and the shutter lag low
The picture quality is generally good to very good
The image processing functions deliver a balanced result
The handling is very simple, but it can be changed if required many setting parameters.
The menu structure is virtually "self-explanatory"
Shooting in low light conditions without using a flash deliver low-noise photos.
The Panorama function is the best I've seen so far.
The macro function is without blemish.
The video function is good and also useful in low light conditions.

Negative points:
Optical zoom does not go with the video function.
The 2-fold digital zoom. As would have been in there with 14 MP more.
An external battery charger is not supplied. The camera battery needs to be charged in the camera through the USB cable (AC adapter included)
An HDMI cable is not included.
Tripod mount is not centered to the lens.

Conclusion:
The camera is worth the money. It's just fun fast times it happening "snap" to and then again concentrated a motive to put in scene. Both are possible and both provides for a compact camera really extremely good pictures. I'm excited and miss nothing.
